Sunset Snailing

The boys have a nightly tradition of looking for snails. They search the iceplant for the elusive snail and then squish the snail underfoot (Austin has even been known to squish a snail barefoot-ewwww!) Please don't tell PETA that we allow this, but it provides endless hours of entertainment. As soon as Tyler says, "Austin let's go find snails." Austin is out the door like lightning.

Can you see that smooshed snail under Austin's foot?
He's got a live one to bring to the sidewalk
searching the iceplant
showing off his trophy before Austin destroys it

Does Tyler and Austin match? Is that the outfit that Tyler wore to school? I am super impressed with how GQ they look!

We had just had family pictures taken. I don't usually dress them as twinners.

You mean you're kids don't usually snail hunt in Ralph Lauren:)

We lived in San Diego when I was Tyler's age, and I remember well the snails. I used to secretly bring them in the house and try to keep them alive in the bathroom, in my bed, etc. They were never where I left them when I went to bed...

the kids around here like to go around in the mornings and collect them in giant plastic cups. Have you ever seen a clear 20oz plastic cup brimming with snails???
YUCK-O!!! Sometimes the like to pour salt in the cup and watch it foam over....disgusting!!! :) Boys will be boys!
