Happy Birthday Peyton!

The birthday girl
opening presents
Austin with cupcake face

This morning my cousin Laura invited us to Peyton's first birthday party. Austin had a good time eating cupcakes and drinking root beer. The kids got to decorate their own cupcakes from a candy bar, it was a cute idea Laura. Tyler mainly played video games, I don't have a picture of that, just use your imagination!

Visitors

I meant to post these pictures a couple of weeks ago, but you know how it goes... Mike''s parents came to visit and brought Laura, Josh and Lucas with them. We had fun just hanging out at the beach. Mike's mom also fixed my curtains so they would work in this house. They look great, thanks Sharon! I also learned that I will never be a scrabble champion, oh well.

Funny blog

Go here http://seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com

It is pretty funny, but you need to start at the begining. Hmmm, maybe I see a teensy weensy bit of myself (but only a teensy) I'll bet you'll see a little of yourself too!

SO happy together...

When they aren't fighting that is...

See Austin copying Tyler in the background

Happy to be home from school and together

Our little monster

Dear Mom & Dad,

Don't even try to leave me anywhere without you. I love being around you both so much that I will refuse to stay anywhere you are not present. I was so funny today when I got Mommy kicked out of the gym for crying so loud in the Kid's Club. I also will not step foot in the church nursery without one of you. Why don't they just call one of you to nursery because you're not leaving me. You both may as well get used to the fact that I will NEVER let you be more than 10 feet away.
Love (and severe clingyness),
Austin

First day of kindergarten

Today I dropped off Tyler for his first day of kindergarten. They changed it to full day this year so he stays until 2:30. I couldn't tell if he was excited or nervous. He was bluffing pretty well. I've got to admit, I've been pretty excited for this day to come. He's a ball of energy, and I was looking forward to having a place other than my house where he can channel it all. I did feel a little differently while dropping him off. I cried a little bit while I was leaving the school. You could tell that the teacher wanted us all out of there She told the kids to wave and the parents to leave. We'll see how the day went when I pick him up. He might not tell me too much.

Duh, duh, nu, nu

I know that I'm only going to be disappointed in the new 90210, but still I am so excited. I have the best memories of "Bev". The first one is my sister (Jenni) and me being so excited that we got cable in our room so we could secretly watch. Then, never wanting to go to Young Woman's because it was 90210 night. My mom made us, so we would set the VCR and cross fingers that my brothers didn't mess it up. Having 90210 nights at Sara's house (that memory is for you Lindsey). 90210 lasted me all through high school through college, and I must say, I never tired of it. Am I way too old to be so excited for the new one?

Little Austin

Today Tyler had a MINOR scrape on his knee, and thought he needed a bandaid. We came inside, and I put a bandaid on his knee. Austin starts motioning that he wants a bandaid too. He lifts up his shorts so that I can put a bandaid on his knee just like Tyler. This is the first time he has indicated a desire to copy his brother (other than wanting a toy of his). I had to take a picture of the cute matching bandaids.
Mike bought a love sac beanbag so they could wrestle. It is a big hit!

Austin loves to turn the TV off and run. He thinks he is so funny when he does this; he cracks up every time! Tyler does not crack up.

This is our favorite face. When he says "WOW" it is so cute.

Pokemania

Tyler has been obsessed with Pokemon lately. I don't even think he really GETS it. He just likes to watch the show and look at the cards. We bought him his first pack of cards the other day at Target. He was so excited he took them into the bath tub with him. After we had explained that you can't do that, we spread them on the floor to dry and he was off to bed. In the morning he asked me if his eyes were red. "No, why do you ask?" He answered, "I was up all night looking at my pokemon cards". I doubt he was up ALL night, but thought it was funny that he was up out of bed looking at these useless cards. He and our little neighbor have been back and forth trading cards. She likes all the cute ones, and Tyler all the mean looking dudes. Tyler asked us if we knew the most powerful pokemon. When Mike teased that it was daddymon, Tyler got all upset. "THERE IS NO DADDYMON!" I've heard so much about Pokemon that I dreamed about it last night. I don't want to be dreaming of pokemon...

School Supplies

Dear Target and Wal-mart,

My son Tyler attends a snotty, picky school so please stock more CRAYOLA brand crayons. Stone Ranch Elementary will not accept your "store" brand crayons, and now I will have to go to yet ANOTHER store.

Love,
Sheri
